What are shredding sacks?
Shredding sacks are secure, tamper-evident bags used to
collect and store confidential documents before collection
and destruction. Unlike standard bin bags or recycling
sacks, shredding sacks are designed specifically for
confidential waste — they are made from thick, opaque
material so contents cannot be seen, and sealed with
a tamper-evident tie that shows if the sack has been
opened or interfered with between filling and collection.
At Clearcut we supply heavy duty shredding sacks to all
customers on collection plans. Sacks are delivered to
your premises before your first collection and replenished
automatically with every visit. You never need to source
or purchase sacks separately — they are included in
the price.

Step 3 — Seal when full
When the sack is full seal it securely
using the tamper-evident tie. The seal
shows if the sack has been interfered
with before collection.
Step 4 — We collect on your schedule
Our security-vetted driver collects
your sealed sacks on your agreed
collection day — weekly, fortnightly
or monthly.
Step 5 — Certified destruction issued
All documents are destroyed at our
certified facility and your certificate
of destruction is issued confirming

as standard in all collection plans, take up
minimal space and are replaced with every visit.
Lockable confidential waste bins are ideal for
businesses with higher daily volumes of confidential
waste, open-plan offices where documents need to
be stored more securely throughout the day, or
organisations that require a more visible
compliance solution for staff. Bins are available
on hire alongside all collection plans.
Many businesses use a combination of both —
a lockable bin in a shared office area fed
into shredding sacks for collection.

What goes in a shredding sack?
Any document containing personal data under UK GDPR
should go into your shredding sack rather than a
recycling bin or general waste. This includes client
and customer records, employee and HR documents,
financial records and statements, legal documents
and contracts, medical and patient records, invoices
and receipts, printed emails and correspondence,
marketing and sales documents, archive files and
any paperwork containing names, addresses, account
numbers, signatures or any other personal information.
